We offer several types of evaluations:
Functional vision evaluation
An in-depth evaluation that measures how well your eyes work together to focus, track, and coordinate when reading, learning, working, performing sports, and other everyday activities.
Vision information processing evaluation
A specialized evaluation that determines how well your brain interprets and uses visual information, identifying strengths and challenges in skills such as visual memory, spatial awareness, processing, and reading speed.
Neuro-optometric evaluation
A detailed evaluation focused on the potential visual effects of concussion, brain injury, and neurological conditions. It is designed to identify problems with how the eyes move, focus, coordinate, continue to balance, and visual information processing difficulties that may interfere with daily function and recovery.
Dr Amy Lanzendorf
Developmental Optometrist
Dr. Amy Lanzendorf is proud to call Montana home. Born and raised in Belgrade, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience from Montana State University before pursuing her Doctor of Optometry degree at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry.
She completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry, Vision Therapy, and Vision Rehabilitation at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. During her residency, Dr. Amy treated patients of all ages with a wide range of functional vision disorders, including binocular vision problems, difficulty with reading and learning, as well as vision disorders related to concussion and acquired brain injury.
Dr. Amy is passionate about helping patients reach their full visual potential through personalized, evidence-based care. She is excited to bring developmental and rehabilitative vision services back to Western Montana and improve access to care for families throughout the region.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Amy is an adventurer at heart. Whether exploring the backroads on a road trip, backpacking through the mountains, or paddling rivers with her husband and dogs, she enjoys discovering new places and creating lasting memories.
